What is Southern District Women’s Golf Association? 

 It is an organization that plans and conducts golf events for its members and assists member clubs upon request.  Current membership is comprised of over 40 golf clubs located in Benson, Corona, Green Valley, Marana, Naco, Oro Valley, Pearce, Rio Rico, Safford, Sierra Vista, Tubac, Tucson area and Wilcox. 

What tournaments are planned and conducted by SDWGA at various golf courses located in southern Arizona? 

Stroke Championship         2 day     Champion + Individual Gross prizes/flight

Spring Four Ball (partner)  2 day     Overall + Gross & Net team prizes/flight

Summer Scotch (partner)   1 day     Overall + Net team prizes/flight

Fall Partners (Stableford)   2 day     Overall + Gross & Net team prizes/flight

Winter Scotch (partner)       1 day     Overall + Net team prizes/flight

 
Southern District sponsors two tournaments run by the local SDWGA Rep at each member club.

 Telegraph    1-day net          gift certificate     $1 entry fee + SDWGA subsidy

Del Sud        2-day net eclectic   Prize supplied by SDWGA         no entry fee

 How much does it cost?

 Yearly dues are $6.00 per person (Jan-Dec) payable with your yearly MPWGA dues or later through your SDWGA representative.  Of the $6 dues, $2.25 is retained by the club and $1 is the member’s entry fee to be used for the gift certificates for the local Telegraph tournament.

 Why join?

 Playing in SD tournaments provides individual and team competition,  provides an opportunity to play various golf courses and provides a way to meet and make new friends from other southern Arizona golf clubs.
