The Catalina Cup is a series of flighted Match Play tournaments scheduled from September through May at various courses in our area.   Six team members will be sent from each club where partners play for gross and net points for their team.  Placements in flights is determined by the players selected to play on the day of the match  i.e. of the six team players, the lowest two handicaps will be in the first flight, next two in the second flight and the highest in the third flight. The maximum index a player may use in the matches is 26.   At the end of the season, plaques will be awarded to the team with the most gross points and the team with the most net points.

 Information will be posted on the MPWGA website and in the MountainView Scoring room. These include:

                        3. Schedules
                        4. Match and pairing information
                        5. Updates and changes.

Please become familiar with this information so that you  understand and are prepared for the matches. 

Players may sign up for as many matches as they wish but will be limited to a certain number of matches depending on the number of players signed up.     Signup dates will be published and names will be selected at random to give everyone a fair chance at participating. Alternates will be selected from lists posted in the MountainView scoring room.  You may sign up on alternate list throughout the season.    We hope that every player will purchase or have access to a team uniform. 

There are 13 member clubs and it is a wonderful opportunity for us to play some great courses, meet new people and make our mark in the golf world!  The cost to play in each match is generally $15-25 which includes a continental breakfast.  Lunch is optional.  Continue to check your emails, the MPWGA website and bulletin boards in the pro shops/clubhouses for information.
